This past weekend was a lot of fun and wound up being very busy!
Friday night we had our neighbors Bryan & Lauren over for an impromptu dinner. It was fun just hanging out and eating some yummy shrimp burgers. Thank you Mom for passing along the Today's Show recipe to me! I also showed Lauren some of my cute little sewing projects that I have going for A. Maybe this weekend I will finish a few of them! :)
Friday was not such a great day at daycare for Annabelle, in fact they told Andy they thought she might have an ear infection considering how fussy and needy she was that day. Very un-Annabelle like. So, Saturday we wound up having to miss my niece Abby's dance recital to take Annabelle to the doctor. No ear infection (thank God), but probably some pressure that's causing her pain. Got a script for some awesome ear drops that would stop the pain resulting in reduced fussiness and getting her to start eating again. So...that afternoon I go to fill the prescription and lo and behold, they don't have the drops. Neither do any of the five other pharmacies within any reasonable distance from our house. Crap. Go home, call the after hours line for the ped's office, get them to fax in a new script and we are good to go!
Saturday night was a lot more fun. We went to Jason & Stacey's for some yummy pizza and dominoes. I did not play so well, but had a great time. Only problem is the two previous nights Annabelle was up every 20 minutes or so screaming bloody murder so I was running a bit on empty. We didn't last all that long at the S&J's house!
Sunday we had fun just hanging out. We also got an impromptu visit from Annabelle's Grandma & Grandpa! They were having a really rough day, having just dropped off one of their sweet kitties, Ernie, at the emergency vets. It seemed like he went into kidney failure and there was a pretty good chance they were going to have to put him down. So sad. Well, G&G got some fun play time with Annabelle and got to see her try out her new sitting trick. They also got to witness her new trick where she has learned to entertain whoever will watch her by blowing her food all. over. her. face. Seriously. Up her nose, in her hair, on her eyelids. Ew!
The last few days have been pretty routine for us with the exception of Andy being out sick yesterday with a cold. Annabelle appears to be teething so we'll see if some sharp little pearly whites pop up soon. All the changes are so exciting!
